Two members of Melbourne 6 piece folk-rock outfit, Snowy Belfast stayed at home for the band’s live to air performance at MDR this week.
Esther, Daniel, Toby and Jesse brought in an amazing and interesting collection of instruments including a double bass, dobro and banjo to play some songs off their forthcoming, soon to be recorded album.
Heavily influenced by bluegrass, alt-country and folk, the band played an up-beat set that got the spirit of MDR back in its place after our transmission problems over the last week.

Snowy Belfast also helped celebrate our annual Radio-thon, they were a great example of the station’s support for independent Australian artists.
The band were so excited to be a part of the MDR team that they signed up as subsrcibers to The Dotted Line- supporting the station that supports music!
The band got together about 2 years ago and have played a couple of brackets of Monday night residencies at the Espy, where they will be hosting their 7″ single launch on Friday night.
